May 2, 2012 - Washington, DC
The day dawned foggy, limiting our ability to take in the sights along the Potomac. When we arrived in Washington, D.C., it began to clear. We passed under this bridge.
As we turned off the Potomac and into the Washington Channel, we passed Fort McNair,
and caught our first glimpse of the Washington Monument.
Along the docks we spotted the old Presidential yacht, the Sequoia.
Tonight we anchor off the Capital Yacht Club, where we have a dock reserved for three nights starting tomorrow.
A welcome sight is the floating fish market, where we plan to buy delectable seafood during our stay.
That evening, the Washington Monument was our night-light!
