March 26, 2012 - Vero Beach, Fl

Today, we passed Ft. Pierce, where the City Marina was advertising on a prominent floating billboard.
Our stop for the night is the Moorings Yacht and Country Club near Vero Beach.
The channel passes breathtakingly close to the golf course!
Here is one of the most impressive clubhouses around – six years old and the product of “hurricane renovation.”
Monarch looked good as the sole boat at their guest docks.
While well warned, we didn’t see any ‘gators.
We spent an additional night here, as we had developed alternator problems. We were able to get the alternator rebuilt in a day, which we used to enjoy the Club, its 30’ X 60’ pool and restaurant.
The Club was bustling with members; many stopped by to greet us. We had offers of a ride to the grocery and hardware stores, and tips on local alternator repair shops.
