March 30, 2012 - Daytona Beach, Florida
Up the Intracoastal just past the Ponce Inlet, we saw Gypsy Magic had strayed a bit too far south in one anchorage, and TowBoat US was on station giving them a pull off the shoal.
There’s something about the day – here is a walk around boat high and dry, with crew just waiting for the tide to come in.
As we approached Daytona Beach, the shrimping fleet was resting today.
A quick turn up the channel and we arrived at the Halifax River Yacht Club. Dockmaster Brian helped us get secured. Shortly after, we took delivery of six new batteries for our house bank, and Jerry spent the beastly hot afternoon in the steaming engine room hooking them up. After relaxing on the pool deck, we cleaned up for the Seafood Buffet, a bountiful feast.
